I beleive you are thinking of Count Doku, and Anakin killed him in the beginning of the 3rd episode

As far as what they could do for the story, I'm really not sure (I'm not claiming to be a huge fan of Star Wars. I've played some games & seen the movies, but haven't read any of the books), but there's so much they can draw from for inspiration from the previously mentioned novel universe. They could now do practically anything they want now.

The novels were supposed to be episodes 7-9, so if the series is going to continue, I'll bet money that they will be inspired by the books. And I do own a rather large amount of the books (my Uncle who is a HUGE Star Wars buff gave them to me after reading them), and in my opinion they just don't feel like Star Wars. Don't get me wrong, they are good reads, but they just don't feel the same. There aren't any battle droids, or clones (  the 501st Legion was still the best thing in my mind to come out of Star Wars), or storm troopers or any of the usual Star Wars baddies. Anyway I'll go see the movie, and if it sucks then Disney will not get my money. |

As I have read just about every star wars book, comic and so on with being a star wars freeak, (hell I make armor for this and a member of the 501st), they are going to follow after Return of the Jedi. Which means some of the follwoing you will see There is a bit of the Empire still around There are still clones around, which Luke can not sense due to them being clones. Boba Fett Kills the Sarlac from the inside and still lives, (Book, Mandolorian Armor, and Tales of the Bounty Hunters) Han and Liea have 3 kids, set of Twins and one other boy. Luke starts the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4 and much much more...
