Ohhh those were the days when armies still used smoothbore artillery pieces. I've never been to the Fort even though I've wanted to for a long time. Nice photos.
I love the artillery pieces at Gettysburg. If I remember correctly there's 3-Inch Rifles, 12-Inch "Napoleons", and maybe Parrott Rifles. I know Parrott rifles were used at Gettysburg, but I don't remember if there's any on site.
I've also been to Ft. McHenry in Baltimore (where the Star Spangled Banner was written) and there are a few different cannons ranging from Rodman guns, smaller caliber columbiads, and several field artillery pieces. I also got to help raise the 15 star flag that's a copy of the one that was raised during the Battle of Baltimore. It was pretty cool ;D

Have you ever heard muskets fire in person before? You sounded a little surprised lol, and they didn't load them correctly

In the video I only saw them loading the percussion caps but not loading any powder or use the ramrod for show. I know they aren't shooting live rounds, but they usually act like they are.
