What kind of video cameras do people use?

After looking at the various footage I see people posting, I'm wondering what cameras they're using. Some seem to record a slightly more or less grainy picture when watching them at similar resolutions, some seem to do better/worse in low-light conditions, etc. I'm just trying to get a sense of what's what.

i use a gopro hero hd 960 watch a video here...> www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsrYrL2zdgw&feature=channel&list=UL the quailty gets worse after i edit it then youtube codes it if you just want to play it back for yourself the quality is way better and its that way on every camera
