I am interested in quick spring change weapons. I would like to be able to use one weapon for both cqb and field with little effort to swap in between.

Other option is some src and vfc weapons have a split gearbox where the upper half comes apart without having to mess with the shim job on the gear box.

MagPul PTS Masada has one I believe, and other then what overkill said the Echo 1 XCR and Platinum M4 have a split gearbox (although the internals are made by VFC).

I am building up an ARES m4 that I am looking to sell. Only thing I am still working on getting is the buffer tube.
