Well as my last piece of advice before I sell off my stuff to leave this place is don't get either. They both suck and are not worth $5 just save up money for something actually decent instead of wasting it on a plastic feeling vest that you over heat in because it's made of plastic. And yes sadly I have expirence with that vest 1/10 not worth.

You'll probably be really uncomfortable or get way to hot trying to run in one of those. Especially during the summer. www.evike.com/products/44523/This is pretty affordable, it's lightweight and the popular style that seems to be going around. Not the highest quality piece, but for the money it's hard to beat. Comes in just about any color or popular patterns as well.

I looked at ones like that but the thing is there is no protection on the sides.

I was looking at the one you were talking about again and looked at evike's video and saw there was what looked to be MOLLE webbing on the sides. I think that's the vest I'm going to get because if I want I can buy side protection.

Just to echo what has already been said. The first 2 you are going to get super hot. But if that's ok with you go ahead. Just don't whine when you pass out. As for protection. What do you need protection from? Bbs are not going to hurt you that bad. I almost never wear anything on my chest. At kzoo or any other events I go to. Im not a fan of bulk. But one thing you will learn quickly is Airsoft is 95% a fashion show. Most gear items have no real added value to your play. They just make you look cool.

I have been hit with batons (not at Kalamazoo airsoft) very hard in the sides playing airsoft and it hurts!

I have a new question about vests: I want to do a Russian soldier load out but I don't know what vest is most common for Russian troops and I want to stick to realism, so what vest do they use? I have been looking all over the Internet and can't find any well supported information. I found some that I've seen in pictures of Russian soldiers but they are all over $190. Please help.

To get even replica Russian gear such as a smersh, your going to have to expect to pay over 180.
