ok so im brand new in the airsoft world and have a few questions about gun selection... ive been at ka 3 times now and am totally hooked. i don't have any equipment and rent everything i need for the game. id say my skill level with the game and cqb at a novice as ive played paintball and a lot of backyard wars.... so my question is what is the cheapest entry level gun i can use and be somewhat successful? i have a really low budget like under 50$ i know theres not much out there for that much but its worth a shot... what is a good fps for game play? whats the lowest fps you can go and still be accurate at a decent range? i know it may be noob questions but i gotta learn some how lol thanks kyle

In my opinion one o the best starter gun is the g&g combat machine. I have had mine for 3 years. It has a new gear box. But that was because I broke the stock one. The body even though it is polymer has held up great. It fits and feed a lot of different mags.
On another note high fps does not equal range. Look at Tokyo marui. They have a country limit of like 315 in Japan. But they have some of the best hop ups. So they get killer range compared to guns with higher fps.

The G&G combat machine is universally recommended as an excellent starter.
On a side note it would really help the readability of your posts if you included propper punctuation.

If you are looking for better range, upgrade your hop up unit and R hop or flat hop it. Also, use heavier weight bb's than .20's. I personally prefer .25's for CQB. Also, higher FPS does not nesessarlly mean better range, accuracy or a better gun overall (In fact, it can actually make it more inaccurate if you use the wrong weight bb's thus decreasing your effective range) . This is a common misconception that a lot of "noobs" make.
To answer your question, a G&G combat machine would be your best bet. You may be able to find one used for around $50-80

Just save up and get a P*. Its what you'll end up getting anyway. Exactly because people always buy the top of the line to start a new sport or hobby!! Makes perfect sense to me. Sarcasm implied. Listen to what other people are saying and not stupid comments like this. MOST people here are real good guys with reasonable advice.

I would say save up and get a combat machine. Although they aren't $50 (closer to $120) they are probably the best starter gun for that budget. If not a combat machine than go with a jg m4. Even picking up a Tri shot shotgun for $50 wouldn't be a bad idea as long as you don't mind not having a semi/full auto gun. Hope this helps.

This, I've been playing for nearly 5 years now and the tri shot is still one of my favorite guns. .2g bbs give it a good spread and for what it is it performs extremely well. You'll get out ranged when you go on the outside portion of the field but that's not too big of a deal. If you want to play on outdoor fields at events you'll need something like the combat machine.

Hate to tell you bud but i've seen 2 people get P*s right off the bat instead of buying a bunch of junk guns before realizing oh crap I should have just bought a P* from the begining and saved myself so much money, so that "stupid comment" he made is the truth. So im with Salem, don't buy absolute garbage that your going to dump hundreds into everytime it breaks. Just buy a P*.

Don't listen to these guys, do yourself a favor and save up for a combat machine at least to get you rolling. My first couple of ears I went back and forth from a M4, G36, and an AK trying to find what is best suited for me. Honestly, I've owned almost every platform and style of gun out there. I run a Polarstar now, but it took me about 5 years to figure out exactly what I wanted as my number one primary. It is all about what you think looks cool and how you play the game. Feel free to ask questions all you want, most of us are here to help. KA's forum is kind of crap when it comes to respect and integrity so I'd say head over to MiA or even airsoft society and just read through their postings and ask questions! (make sure you read the rules there before posting, punctuation and grammar matter) If you need any help, send me a message and I will see what I can do for you.

i have a really low budget like under 50$ Salem and Raptor, not everyone can afford to throw $ 800+ into a hobby they just found. In the context of the thread your comments comes off as elitist and disrespectful.

Me and Salem voiced our opinon which we are allowed to do so if you guys have a problem with that PM me personally.
