Does anyone else use a contour at kalamazoo airsoft? If so do you know what to set the settings at to brighten it up enough to see inside?

I don't have a contour. But from why I have seen. Darkness is one of the downfalls of it. The low light visibility is pretty low. Is there anything you can do in post to bring up the levels?

I've had a Contour for about 4 months. I haven't been able to try it at kzoo yet, but like darth said, they don't handle darkness very well. I'm not super tech savy when it comes to cameras, so I don't know exactly what settings to use, but mine has like 4-6 preset options on the main settings page; sunny, cloudy, etc. I generally use the cloudy preset. It works well in the open light and at least extends the range of darkness the camera can film in.
One thing I do if I know I'm going to be filming and it could get dark, is go in a basement or someplace naturally darker and have your laptop or whatever handy and use small lights to try and replicate the lighting. Then set up the camera, adjusting the settings till you get a decent shot, if you can, again the Contour is kinda out of its league when it comes to lowlight.
Generally I just try to avoid low light situations with the Contour, set it up for day time/outdoor use, and if you have any desire to film in lowlight, consider the GoPro, they can handle it a lot better, not perfect, but most cameras will struggle in the dark. Hope this helps.
Edit for more info: I'm assuming your using 1080p at 30fps. Consider dropping it to 720p at 30fps. I know you'll want to put it in the higher 60fps it can record in, but that'll hurt it even more. At 720p since it's not taking as high quality images, the camera can offer a slightly better lighting quality(I don't fully understand the complicated reasoning behind this, but this is the slightly easier explaination to what I was told). You will give up a little image quality, but give it a try and see what happens. It just might be what your looking for.
