Drug Wars: Somalia

Since the ban on the sale of fire arms have been in effect Warlord Al-Shabaab has held a reign of terror
in the area surrounding the city of Bender Cassim in Somalia. The Somalian Unified Government has
tried to take Bender Cassim from Al-Shabaab’s deadly grasp multiple times. The ruthless warlord has
not only repelled each attack but completely embarrassed the Somalian Unified Government.

Al-Shabaab has made enough money on the sale of illegal weapons and drugs that he is ready to expand
his reign of terror deeper into the chaotic land of Somalia. Al-Shabaab’s first target is the small city and
land around Qandala. The Somalian Unified Government is determined to not let this happen. They
have enlisted the help of Ras Kamboni, a ruthless drug lord that keeps to the seas and his own port of
where he can command raids and strikes on the weak, the city of Caluula.

In fear of losing his own power and land Ras Kamboni has gathered up his forces in a head on battle
against the devil himself, Al-Shabaab at the uncontrolled city of Qandala. Even though Ras Kamboni
and the Somalian Unified Government think they are out gunned against the powerful Al-Shabaab, Ras
Kamboni is ruthless in his tactics and will never back down from a challenge.

Who will win the battle of Qandala? Will the powerful Al-Shabaab expaind his reign of terror in Somalia
or will the ruthless Ras Kamboni put an end to the power hungry warlord, Al-Shabaab? Choose your
side and prepare for Battle!

We apologize but there will be No Camping at all this year. The small space that was once used for far traveling players and workers has been used by the property owners and there is not another good alternative location to camp. Please understand this is the right of the field owner and we should be thankful for him allowing us to use the field as it is. So once again. NO CAMPING. Thanks everyone.

Bring canned goods to go towards the Women's Shelter of Three Rivers Michigan to earn your self extra raffle tickets. The more you bring the more tickets you will earn and the more karma you will get for helping a good cause. Trust me, this is airsoft, your going to need all the good karma you can get!


Team Colors

Drug Lord: Ras kamnoni/Somalian Government- All Black and Civilian clothing

No Tan or Green pants or shirts for civilian uniform, Khaki pants are the only tan colored clothes allowed

Black and White Camo or Black and Gray Camo are the only camo's allowed for the Drug Lords

Warlord: Al-Shabaab- Woodland, Multi-Cam and other Green Camo's

Engagement Range and FPS

1.0 - 340.9 fps : Arms length engagement limit

341.0 - 400.9 fps : 20 foot engagement limit

401.0 - 540.9 fps : 50 foot engagement limit, bolt action or permanent * semi-auto replicas only

541.0+ fps : Prohibited



Spawns

Every 10 minutes


Medics

Each player will have the ability to medic other players. In order to be healed, you will need to carry a 2"x16" piece of white cloth that can be tied around one's arm. Players can only be healed once; after being healed once and killed for a second time, the player must go back to respawn, allowing him to re-enter the game and to take off the medic strip. If a player does not have a medic strip, other players are allowed to use their own medic strip to heal another player. Keep in mind though, the player you heal with your own strip will have to keep it on until he/she is re-spawned; do so at your own risk.

For Example:
Player A is hit and has not used his medic strip. He takes out his kill rag to signify that he's been hit and has a bleed out time (bleed out time will be determined the day of the event).

Player B comes by and see's that player A is bleeding out. Player B goes Rambo style on everyone in the area and gets to player A. Player B yells in a calm but demanding voice, "Give me your medic strip".

Player A hands player B his medic strip and player B begins tying the medic strip around one of player A's arms. Once the medic strip is completely tied on, player A is now allowed to pocket his kill rag and re-engage.

A short time later player A and player B go off by themselves and both players are hit by opposing forces. Both players pull out their kill rags and player B begins his bleed out time. Because player A already has a medic strip on his arm, he can not be healed and must go back to respawn.

Player B must wait for somebody nearby to heal him. If no one is around, Player B finishes his bleed out time and then heads back to respawn.

Both players arrive back to respawn a short time later and wait for the next respawn time. Player A is now allowed to take off his medic strip and pocket it for his next death.

That's all the way across the state and at last years OP Drug Wars it was mainly the people who normally play at KA. But I'm down for this last years was great and I'm hoping for the same this year.

Well that's a big miss on my part. Yes it will be at Splatmandu. I updated the event info. My bad...Ha! Thanks for catching that. Yes this event is brought to you by Built To Resist once again and you will be able to expect nothing but improvements. We are already much further along with stories, props and many other things then last year and we are really excited to put on an awesome event this year. Help spread the word and excitement because I know you guys will enjoy it! I've already done my part of becoming more of a pirate by nearly stabbing my eye out at work so expect nothing but the best in props and roll players! Ha! But seriously, almost become full blown pirate. Was not fun. All better though. See you out there.

Looking to see some chatter about the event. Are people excited? Will many of you be attending? I know I'm excited. I can't wait to show you what we've come up with for missions and our story. We are trying to be more and more creative in our missions and I feel the roll playing will be that much better this year. What are you guys thinking out there? Things are too quiet. If I see 20 legitimate replies in the next couple days I'll throw out some info that may help you prepare for a mission or two that will be worth some serious cash or points.

Pre-pays will end the August 23rd.

Tan is not allowed this year. We've had a lot of issues with people wearing tan that has green in it and it creates a lot of issues. We wanted to try no tan this year and see how it goes. We picked colors that no matter if you've been playing airsoft for 100 years or just started today you could wear something under the guidelines. Remember though, team colors only are for clothing, not gear. If you have a vest that is tan, you can use it. Just wear the correct color pants and shirt for your team. If its confusing why I only have "No Multi-cam" at the bottom and not tan as well it's because a lot of people think Multi-cam is tan or green and sometimes both and if I don't specifically call that one out we end up with a lot of multi-cam on both teams.


Team Colors are as followed. This will be strictly enforced. You come in something not on the list, there will be a very poor selection of shirts you can purchase. Other than that you wont be able to participate. It sucks but we tell you guys way ahead of time to dress accordingly. Please help us out and come prepared.

I noticed it said no multicam, is it no full multicam or could we do OD on the bottom and a multicam top? Just curious.

Bleed out times are still being talked about. More than likely we will give you a time frame the day of the event where you can estimate by counting but it obviously wont be an exact time you all will have to follow. To hard to be that accurate in the heat of battle.

UPDATE TO TEAM COLORS:

The more and more we thought about it we decided to allow Multi-Cam to the Warlords team. We know that a lot of you out there love to use you Multi-Cam stuff and we understand it sucks when you can't look your best out on the field. So after some discussions about how there was not going to be a tan camo this year and the fact that there was only going to be green camo's, we don't really see there being as big of an issue with people getting confused about whether or not somebody in multi-cam was on the green team or the tan team.

Think of it this way. If you see somebody in any kind of a camo other than black and white, they will be on the Warlords team. For the Drug Lord's we are allow black and white camo's or black and gray camo's but that's it camo wise. If you wear civilian type clothing it can pretty much be anything as long as it isn't green or tan. Khaki pants are ok but no tan shirts. Thank you for your questions and keep them coming.
