What is your favorite number of players per side when playing at KA?
I am a newcomer to KA and to airsoft altogether so my opinion is based on limited experience but with the few times I played to date and from watching Youtube videos I would put that number around 20-25 each. The first time I played there was 20-23 players a team and that made it exciting and you weren't facing a random wall of bbs. Another time I last played there were closer to 35 players to a team and there seemed to be a lot of spray and pray which I thought made it more of luck game than one of skill. When I watched videos with fewer players it seemed pretty slow paced which is alright but it seemed that the adrenaline pumping fire fights were missing.
I am curious to see what you all have to say.

Well as long as its not going to be like that one day with 102 players then I feel it would be fine. All though it would be nice to try a game without so many people because like you I also have limited playing experience, but every time I have played their were a lot of players where it seemed the teams had over 30 people.

i usually have no more than 17 per and i love that, then toward the end of the day guys leave and my team always opts to be the team with lesser guys, which makes it that much more fun

It really depends on what kind of gameplay you are looking for. If you want to be sneaky and have a very dynamic game where almost anything can happen, smaller numbers are better. If your looking for constant action and very high paced games with guys around every corner a bigger day is better. If you want a good mix of dynamic gameplay, but at a higher paced more predictable level, then middle numbers are what you want. A good player can adapt his tactics and play style to accommodate different levels and styles of gameplay.

That day was pretty bad to many people, not enough room and the hit calling went to crap. But the ideal number for me is around 40-60 people.

Last time I played the red team tended to all wanna run outside and leave the one side empty. When it was their turn to plant the bomb I busted ass from yellow's end down to their side hoping to snipe a couple of the bomb guards. Ended up running into the middle of the ENTIRE red team bottled up at the OH door. No clue how many I managed to take out until Wolverine took me out. I guess I might have over adapted to their strategy. After that crazy run they tended to keep a few back guards around so I had to adjust my play again.

I'm going to be a Debby Downer and say that back when Kzoo first opened the games were the best at around 5v5.
While great for business and a real testament to how well the place is being run now, the amount of players I've experienced in my recent Kzoo outings have just sucked the fun out of it (as well as the mentality of tactics vs. run and gun). Far too crowded.
