Okay I know very little about Deans Connector's so that's why I ask what's so good about them? What little I do know is that if you want to make a standard tamiya battery to be made into a deans connectors battery you must smolder on the deans connectors after removing the tamiya connectors.

Deans connectors are a lot more durable, they have better connection, and they at emerald plugs instead of plastic pieces.

Not only is it more secure, but it is a proper electrical connection. Stock guns come with 25A fuses and Tamiya connectors are rated for 12A....tell me how that makes sense. I cant tell you how many people I have had bring their gun to me with melted Tamiya connectors.

I plan on getting my raider switched to deans. The battery I have gives it a high rate of fire so I don't want to ruin my battery or my gun. Also Taymia can break a lot easier since it's weak plastic.

Deans make a world of difference. I have wired a lot of guns to deans, the connection is much more secure and feels better then crappy tamiya plugs. You will need them if you run big batteries, i have never had a problem with deans connectors. I think they look better too, just my opinion, haha.
