Alright so I've been playing for about 8 months and I've played in quite a few tournaments. What I've been wondering lately is who all plays, what discs you guys like, where you play, how long you've played and who got you into it and that stuff.
My brother in law was once had a ranking of 983 before he was in a near-fatal car crash. Recently he has gotten back into the swing of things and got me started. He used to travel the country on tour and all that jazz. He's the one who really got me to play. I personally love to throw Discraft discs with a splash of Legacy discs in my bag. I really like to use a nuke by discraftt as my drivers, lots of buzzz es, ghosts and meteors my midranges and I almost exclusively putt with soft magnets by dc, but I've got a nice big bead aviar for windier days. Some of the courses I've played are my two local courses in Greenville, Alan G. Davis and Smash Park along with some nicer sources like Deerfield park, wildwood, Newaygo state park and Hudson Park in Ohio.
I'm one lucky kid because my bro in law was on tour he made some pretty good friends with some of the big shots such as. Paul 'McBeast' McBeth, John Tompkins, Garrett Gurthie, Will Schusterick and Nikko Locastro. What I think is really awesome is that John Tompkins is from west michigan and is one of my brothers best friends and I was able to meet john and disc with him. What's even cooler is that John is Paul McBeth's best friend so he gets a lot of Paul's stuff such as Paul's 2012 and 2013 world championship bags. This year for Christmas Tompkins gave my brother the 2012 Worlds bag. For those of you who don't know Paul McBeth won the world championship back-to-back years 2012 & 2013. So I'd say my brother and I have it good when it comes to knowing who to talk to for tips and tricks.
Anyway sorry for my stories. I think if there's enough interest maybe sometime next spring or summer some of us could get together and go play somewhere.
