Obviously based off the books and movies... Designed for a smaller crowd maybe and airsofters willing to let other people use their guns. The guys at Airsoft GI did this in a video.
Players start together in one spot with no weapons. Various types of weapons are scattered throughout the field or in one area. It is then every man for himself (or allegiences may be formed. No respawns.
This should be a lot of fun if we ever play it. What do you think?

I saw this and thought is was pretty awesome. My take on it however is, I don't see many people who would be willing to do this. My reasoning is a lot of players at KA are younger. Now don't get me wrong, I'm NOT saying that because they're younger they don't respect guns. I'm saying that because I don't really see many of the older players willing to give up their high end or highly upgraded replicas in a chance that younger players might get to them first and having them go balls to the walls with these guns and possibly having something malfunction. Just my two cents.

The problem with a lot of these things is that they are designed for smaller groups like private parties. Games like this have too many holes to try and use them during open rec play. I could see many rules that would be challenged and I could see a lot of disputes or arguments breaking out.

Not many people would let anothr person use their gun "example" were playing, i put my 500 dollar sr25 out on the field. le random noob (no offense to anyone) picks up said gun trips and breaks a 500 dollar rifle. I know thats just my luck. but if kalamazoo did it with their combat machines it could solve that problem. good idea, to many "worries"

I've thought about this a little, and it's a cool idea. It would work great for private groups, since disputes would probably break out way less among a group of friends than a bunch of random people on open rec days. It's a fun idea, but not very practical to release to the general public.

those are true. I agree. I wouldn't want someone to break my gun either. But my pals and I will definitely play this together on our own. If only it could work out easier without problems...

The owners of the air house could lay out random rental combat machines and mags around the field? I think that could be suffice right? Maybe buy a bunch of cheap Walmart aegs to use?

I think it's a great idea but one problem is that you will not touch my guns.
