5.56/.223 is easy to find, the only hard ammo to find would be 300 blackout or something along those lines.

Honestly the biggest threat would be people at first then the Z's but as stated multiple times above -Z's don't exist-. I'd honestly like to hear some thoughts if a global pandemic happened like if tuberculosis, or E. coli broke out to the global pandemic level. That's much more of a concern then zombies...

Shooting people at 200 yards with a .22= movie magic It's completely possible. Maverick has shot a 3in radius target at 250 meters plus a slope elevation going against him with a .22

The target was not moving and there was no worry of someone shooting back. Any type of rifle can accurately shoot hundreds of yards, its just the ease of the rifle that is the problem.

Actually, in truth an outbreak of a certain sickness would be interesting. Truly, with the fact that zombies aren't real, an outbreak of a sickness could happen though. Which would quickly cause riots, and mass chaos. However within a week most of the riots and such would die down, and you see people scavenging through the streets, trying to find some sort of supplies, or treatment for family and friends. Anything to help, which would quickly lead to, a large fear of the living, most people would be wearing some sort of medical mask, or a gasmask, anything to keep themselves from infection of the sickness, which in due time the sickness would soon lead to the near extinction of the human race, whether it was death from the sickness, or just death from other humans. Those that did survive would most likely be what would be left to repopulate, and clean up the earth, hoping that they did not also carry the same virus. Truly, it would be so much worse than just a simple zombie outbreak.

The solution is simple in a zombie apocalypse, M4 with a suppressor, quieter, and effective. The perfect pair for a zombie apocalypse, and when the gun runs out of ammo, crossbow, and a katana. have you ever heard a suppressed AR there not that quiet you can still hear the crack of the round breaking the sound barrier which is loud enough to attract near by zombies not to mention the carbon build up in your gun is much higher with the suppressor on so that means you will be completely disassembling your rifle to clean it very often and it's not a quick 10 minute cleaning it usually takes me at least 2 hours to clean mine after a trip to the range with the suppressor.

Suppressors are not illegal for civilians to use/own.

Suppressors are not illegal for civilians to use/own. He's right for the most part! Some states it is illegal. Everything you need to know is riiiiigggghhhht hereEDIT: Besides, who's to say there will even be a government to police these sorts of things in the event of an outbreak?
