Who says they can't swim? They have the motor skills to walk/run. Seems like faulty marketing to me!

The solution is simple in a zombie apocalypse, M4 with a suppressor, quieter, and effective. The perfect pair for a zombie apocalypse, and when the gun runs out of ammo, crossbow, and a katana.

Or I could put a suppressor on my ak. More reliable, won't jam, easier to find ammo/ extra mags for.

Oh and a lot less parts to clear than an ar type rifle.

True, true, it's just that the AK does lack accuracy compared the M4, and AR's. However, when you live in a farming and hunting community, you really don't have access to either. So you pick up a hatchet, or an axe, and start killing. Maybe grab your 20 gauge shotgun, which up in Huron, and parts of Tuscola it's easy to scavenge ammo. Truthfully, in my area, I'd do just fine in the apocalypse.

A 20. With slug can go through a deer. I know. That is what I use. I think it could go through rotten flesh and rotted bone. Just stating the facts. And you probably wouldn't have to shoot farther than 100 yards with any gun if.. IF some sort of apocalypse happened. And I can hit a 3x3 target at that with my AK with iron sights. And I will probably just use my ruger 10/22 and pop some quarter inch holes in their heads.

Truthfully though, I would much rather have a 22. scoped rifle, preferably in an AR format. That or some form of pistol, preferably a Glock. Or in the worse case scenario bring a crossbow, several bolts, extra arrowheads, and whatever melee weapon you find that has a long reach. Such as an axe, or a shovel.

The 10/22's are perfect for zombies, not so much for humans. 22's dont have any stopping power, and most types of body armour will stop it. I would always have a weapon with atleast .223 and up for the worst case scenario.

But if you are accurate with it then It is a great rifle. Have you ever seen shooter? He was popping thugs in the head at 200 yards with a 22. I loved that scene!

See, its harder than you think it will be though. Zombies: slow moving target, some sway in motion, has to literally get close enough to touch you. People: Can move way faster, bounce all over and can tell if you are aiming at him, and can shoot back. If you hit him in the side with 22: hes got a pen sized hole. He hits you in the side with AR or AK: Chunks come out and much more catistrophic damage.

Well, truthfully, the whole goal is to get a gun that will rip zombies a new one, the problem is though, ammo. Everyone assumes that they would love to have military grade guns, such as a full auto M4, what the fail to realize in that moment, is that with the lack of accuracy, and the chance of finding ammo is about as easy as finding a needle in a haystack. Thus, rendering your gun as a nice paperweight in the apocalypse. That's why I'd probably stick to shotguns in Michigan, the ammo is common, and with the people you come across it's likely you could trade the ammo, or acquire the ammo for the gun through trading. Thus making, a 20 and or 12 gauge shotgun perfect for the apocalypse in this state.

Good thing Zombies aren't real so we don't have to worry about this but if they were probably one out of every 1000 people would survive from lack of military experience.
