Coyote brown/ tan will work with more patterns than anything else. Condor sells some chest rigs for less than $50 that come with MOLLE webbing so you can set up the platform the way you like.

Both of my rigs are in Coyote due to fact that MI is green about half the year, the rest is brown (brown mixes with green, but green doesn't mix with white). I would suggest getting something lighter, as in lighter weight. I personally have been using a rig made by Blue Force Gear, but it's a little over your $50 budget. I would decide how many and what kind of magazines you want to use before buying a rig. If you buy one with oodles of pockets on it, you're going to want to fill them up and that just adds weight. You'll have a more enjoyable experience year round if you're not lugging a lot of extra equipment. Just my 2 cents.

Depending on your play environment (for now, I'm assuming you go to KA), I would go with the Condor RRV or MBSS.
They are both light enough to not weigh you down, and they both have enough MOLLE space to store what you need.

I personally own the MBSS, and I love it for playing at Kzoo. If you run light, it even would work for field use.
