Violence Between Drug Cartels and Mexican Army Increasing

Violence between rival drug cartels and the Mexican Army in the southern state of Veracruz has exploded yesterday following a car-bomb that was detonated outside a crowded shopping plaza in the regional capital of Xalapa. The car-bomb, thought to be hidden inside the trunk of a parked car was detonated just after noon local time, during their peak hours of operation. The Mexican drug cartel ‘Los Zetas’ has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Later that evening, several rural vehicle checkpoints operated by the Mexican Army came under intense small arms and rocket fire. The Mexican Army has not commented on the number of dead or wounded from the checkpoint attacks. The Sinaloa Cartel has claimed responsibility for the rural attacks.
Since the Mexican War on drugs began in December of 2006, more than 70,000 lives have been lost on all sides. Officially, the Mexican government has stopped recording the numbers of dead relating to the war on drugs in 2011.
Forces In Play and Uniform Requirements
This is a three faction event. Teams are not allowed to make alliances, pacts, or agreements between each other for any reason. Normally, a three faction event turns into two groups tag-teaming another; this will not happen. If alliances or agreements are found during the course of the event, participating teams will be subject to severe point penalties.
Mexican Army (Green Team)
- Woodland, MARPAT, DPM, Tiger Stripe, OD Green, and Woodland A-TACs.
Los Zetas Cartel (Tan Team)
- Three Color Desert, Six Color Desert, Arid MARPAT, Arid DPM, Arid A-TACs, ACU, ABU, and Desert A-Tac's.
Sinaloa Cartel (Multicam and Contractor Team)
- Multicam, Contractor, Urban, and Black.
* Contractor is defined as khaki pants and a black top. No exceptions!
* Mis-matched uniforms (camouflage from both sides) will not be allowed.
* Gear color is irrelevant to which side players may choose to play on.
* Ghillie suits may be used by snipers on either team.

2013 Field Expansion Project
I'm sure everyone noticed the $5.00 price increase this year for our events ($20.00 to $25.00). This is to help offset the extremely high price of lumber and the sheer volume of it required to construct anything.
By increasing the price slightly over the course of the entire year we, Armory Airsoft and Hole In The Wall Paintball hope to expand our field and finish long overdue projects.
I won't tell you what we have planned, but I will say this. If we can reach our target of 80 to 100 registered (prepaid) individuals, we should have a completely new village somewhere on the map.
Zero Tolerance Policy
This event like every event hosted at an Armory Airsoft field since November 2009 is a Zero Tolerance Event or 'ZT'. The ZT policy is in place to ensure the safety, enjoyment, and reputation of Armory Airsoft, Hole In The Wall Paintball, and airsofters everywhere.
Infractions that are covered under ZT include but are not limited to:
- Removal of goggles during game play on any area of the field.
- Cheating.
- Theft. *
- Vandalism. *
First Violation - Immediate One Hour Removal From Game Play.
Second Violation - Immediate Removal and Six Month Ban.
* Denotes an infraction of immediate permanent removal. Violators are subject to any and all financial and/or legal penalties.
Field Conduct Regulations
- Sportsmanship is key in airsoft, without it the game falls apart. Please play with integrity.
- Blind firing is not allowed. Players must have a direct line of sight on their target.
- Obey your engagement limit; no one likes being shot in the face at close range.
- Do not climb on or damage field structures.
- Dead men do not talk…
- Call your hits; cheating on any level ruins the game for everyone.
- Always assume when firing at long distances or through thick cover that your shots may not be hitting someone.
Eye Protection Regulations
- All participants are required to have ANSI rated 'Full Seal' eye protection.
- Mesh Goggles, Shooting Glasses, Safety Glasses, and/or Lab Goggles will not be allowed under any circumstances. You will be turned away, asked to rent a pair or use a different set of eye protection if you violate this.
- Participants caught using non-compliant eye protection will be immediately removed from the event.
Barrel Bag Regulations
- All participants are required to have a 'Barrel Bag' over the muzzle of their replica at all times when out of game play.
- “Homemade” barrel covers of any type are not an acceptable option.
- Barrel Bag's are available for purchase at event registration for $8.00 each.
Ammunition and FPS Regulations
Standard Rifles and Submachine Guns
- 410 FPS limit
- 600 rounds in any configuration.
Support Weapons, Heavy Machine Guns, and SAWs.
- 410 FPS limit.
- 1,000 rounds in any configuration.
Sniper Rifles
- 550 FPS limit.
- 300 rounds in any configuration.
* Players are allowed to leave extra ammunition at their prospective team respawn location. Please label your bags/bottles!
Engagement Limits For All Weapons
1.0 - 350.9 FPS - Arms length engagement limit
351.0 - 409.9 FPS - 20 foot engagement limit
420.0 - 550.9 FPS – 50 foot engagement limit, bolt action or permanent* semi-auto replicas only.
551.0+ FPS - Prohibited or allowed with permission of event organizer only.
* Permanent semi-auto refers to replicas that do not have full-auto fire capability, no matter how the selector switch or other user input device is manipulated.
Airsoft Swap Meet
- No outside vendors allowed, except under prior event coordinator approval.
- Sellers are responsible for all aspects of their transactions.
- Sellers are responsible for accurate pricing, item descriptions, or information on the item or items they are selling.
- Buyers are responsible for making accurate and informed decisions prior to purchasing.
- We will not be held responsible for items that are lost, stolen, or damaged. Buy, sell, and trade at your own risk.
Pre and Post Event Camping
- Open to all participants 16 years of age or older! No exceptions!
- Participants that choose to camp must bring their own tent, sleeping bag, and camping equipment.
- Participants are allowed to camp only in specific areas of the field grounds.
- Staging area campsites are reserved for field staff and team member use only.
- We will not be held responsible for items that are lost, stolen, or damaged.
- Fires are prohibited outside of specified areas.
Dinner Period
- There will be a one hour dinner period from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Participants are allowed to either leave to a restaurant of their choice or have dinner at the field.
- We will be providing hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and soda for $1.00 each.
- Players that leave for dinner are asked to arrive back on time. Late arriving players delay game play and overall ruin the experience for those who were on time...

- Visitors and non-participating persons will be allowed in for free.
- Real steel firearms are prohibited on all areas of the field.
- Violations of any field or event regulations may result in immediate removal from field property without refund.
