A&K m1892 question

I am thinking about getting the a&k m1892 gas lever action rifle. But is it possible to make it can legal? If so please please tell me. Would I use heavier bbs or different green gas/ propane?

I'm unsure of your desire to use this weapon in a CQB Environment. The loading is fickle at best, and worst yet is the spread of reported fps. BIA has a member with one shooting 400 fps+ online I have read a lot of reviews saying after 100 rounds it fires 315fps- 340fps. If you buy the gun in the end you are taking a risk with a weapon better suited for a fun gimmick or NPC role at an event. HFC or Duster gas can be used to reduce fps, if the weapon is still firing over 350 fps with duster gas I would be surprised. This does require an adapter which can be found online, or maybe even at the Airhouse I am not familiar with the products in stock with them. Best of luck. Happy hunting.

It should be also noted that A&K had issues with their Machine gun series as well regarding wide spread fps. Some shot 380fps other shot a measly 320fps. This is because they (in the past at least) shipped guns to the UK and US and got mixed up alot. IE America receiving guns rated for the UK fields, and vice versa. I suspect this may be the issue with these guns as well with the wide spectrum of reports of fps.

That is a really cool model rifle and my friend did very well with it during an outdoor game. That being said, the model 1892 fires approx 450 fps and is not at all suited for a cqb environment. Although use of higher weight bbs lowers the FPS, the overall energy remains the same and therefore is not a suitable way to lower FPS. I personally would spend my money on a nice AEG. Gas is always a pain, especially in MI where the temperatures are only ideal for a short part of the year.
