5.11 vs. Crye

Hey guys,

Soon, I will be placing an order for some Multicam gear (pants, combat shirt, pouches and ball cap). I understand that Crye gear is as top notch as it gets, and I know that 5.11 is good, but sub par compared to Crye. My question to you guys is this: is it worth paying double the money for Crye gear, as opposed to 5.11? How does 5.11 clothing match up in quality, feel, pattern, and features?

On a separate note, while I've got you, would a coyote soft shell jacket with a sub load of some sort (HSGI battle belt, drop leg pouches, etc) and multicam pants look be a decent idea. This option would save me a lot of money and would allow me to run Crye G3 pants instead of 5.11 MC pants

If you have any suggestions, or any other ideas, feel free to shout them out! Links to helpful websites would be great too. OR, if you happen to be selling Multicam gear made by a solid brand, I might be up for that. I am 5'4" 110-130 pounds (wrestling season), and my waist is in the ballpark of 30-32 ish.

Before everybody posts this, I COMPLETELY understand that MC is sometimes not allowed at events. I also have ACU and Woodland BDUs to fall back on if MC isn't allowed.

For the crye v. 5.11 question.

You can never beat original, but for the price 5.11 is great.
It all depends on your wallet/bank account.
So go with crye only if you have the money for it, if you don't go with 5.11.

Now to the coyote topic.

Coyote looks good but in my opinion khaki looks better on multicam.
In general most colors looks pretty good on multicam, again what ever looks good to you.

Like Bubba mentioned, you cant beat the original. However I have heard great things about 5.11's combat shirt.
