Very few people have bolt-action sniper rifles that shoot within the airhouse FPS limits. Less than ten people would be able to attend.
Interesting idea, though.

Would be hard to do. Airhouse is too dark normally to use anything bigger then a red dot.

I'm sorry, but the idea of an indoor FPS compliant sniper rifle is laughable to me. My rifle is simply too powerful to use indoors.

Actually, I believe Kilroy use to use a CQB sniper rifle way back in the day. I remember him being really good at it. It takes skill to put a single shot on someone in such a small fast paced environment.

It's very possible and not that hard to be effective with it. The hardest part is assaulting and pushing against those with automatics. Still do-able though. ~Arch

www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4pC3Ipg21wTm vsr10 later in the video. Starts at 15:45. No scope, no irons, 350 fps and .28 BBS (fps measured with .20s of course). Anything can work. Don't think any of them were laughing while walking back to spawn.

I never said that it wasn't doable, I just don't think it's worth doing. Tactically there is zero advantage over any AEG with a properly tuned hop up. You lose the ability to put multiple rounds on target quickly and become nearly useless in CQC environments where the long barrel makes it hard to maneuver. The sniper's advantage in outdoor games is the ability to hit targets from outside their own effective range nearly undetected and that's what gives them that nice psychological impact too.

With the game that is suggested, your point is moot. Yes sniper rifles are for outdoor play 99% of the time. With the "sniper rifle only" game type would put everyone in the same boat.
Do I think it would be fun? Maybe. Will it actually happen? Probably not.
