New Gun

hey guys im wanting another gun cause ive had mine for a year and after it crashing majorly on me last saturday, ive been thinking it would be wise to have two guns.
While my gun now was bought custom, i though hmm, why not make this my own custom. so any comments or concers with any of the products, i would like any input.

Im not a huge CYMA fan ive had way too many problems with there ak and m4 series, Honestly go the cheap route and get a baseline GnG m4 or if you have some money to burn go after the Ares m4a1.

well i want a full metal gun now.
I have an airsoft gi g4-a3 which has the g&g body and internals, i like it, but i want realism now, and from the videos and reviews, it is metal, bolt catch, and if i recall i can not take the triangle sight off the g&g
i saw a dboys m4 with r.i.s with it,but the problem...dboys, i know they have gained alot of rep and stuff...but from the guns my friends bought from them....not impressed

If you want full metal, and you want high quality, go with the ARES he recommended. Straight Ares M4s are always Full metal

If you want full metal, you are going to have to shell out some more money. In my opinion, full metal is not worth the price tag. If that is what you want though, that's all up to you of course.

Max realism would come from a full metal GBBR. Or a polymer GBB SMG like my MP9.

Problems with Ares M4A1, is the proprietary gear box, weak gears, and most "Airsoft" external upgrades will not fit, because it is an m4 replica (minus the fatter handgrip to house the motor). You will be stuck buying "real steel" parts (commercial sizing) from a gun store, which is obviously not cost effective.

Take it from a guy who bought 5 Ares M4A1's because I HAD to have a full metal gun. I shredded each and every one of the gear boxes. I tried updating the gearbox with ICS, Guarder, and Systema gears.........none of them would fit/operate properly. I ended up buying new complete gearboxes for all of them.

I understand the draw to full metal receivers on your gun, I'm not here to debate metal or polymer, there are pros/cons to each, I'm simply begging you to not make the same mistake Gunny and I did. (he shredded a couple of his too)

lol well sorry for your losses and thanks for helping, i always thought ares was second to systema, haha dumb mistake there, but im just going to go with a g&g combat machine

Don't listen to Spaz, he is a racist against all people. Get that bad boy wired to deans and throw a lipo in it. They are really efficient.

haha thanks shamrock, and ya i was going to have mavrick hook me up with deans to it as soon as he could. and then another problem ive finding is a good peq box, i dont want it wired to the back cause of the moe stock i want, there are some 11.1 lipos that already come in the box and with charger and stuff but i wasnt sure if i should run a lipo in it
