Thanks for the info Mav I trust your expertise for sure and thanks to everyone else for their input as well. One last question though, are G&G's able to handle Li-po right out of the box or do they absolutely need a tune up to be able to handle extended play with a li-po battery?

Raptor, KWAs do not have a great ROF out of the box, trust me.
No gun comes out out the box tuned to handle a strong LiPo for an extended period. A 7.4v 20c isnt a very strong LiPo, and I have personally run a stock G&G on one for a long period of time. If you are looking to run a bigger LiPo through your gun, I would strongly suggest a basic tune up just to get everything lined up properly. It isnt that the components cant handle the stress, it is just that they dont mesh correctly from the factory.

What mAh is your 7.4? Because I want it to last throughout the day at least.

I'm sorry, Both of my teammates run properly shimmed, stock KWAs. The SR-12 and KM16BR have easily outlasted and outperformed any other AEG we've encountered. The SR-12 lasted 40,000 rounds (give or take a couple thousand) and only had to have the spring replaced. The KM16BR has operated for nearly a year with no issues or failures. With an 11.1 Li-Po they each easily hit 20+ bps (KM16BR clocked in at 26bps). So based on my experience with KWA, they are far superior to any G&G when it comes to internal performance and external look and feel.

I don't own a KWA, so I can't say anything about them. But I can personally attest to the quality of G&Gs.
I would trust Maverick, save a bit of money, and get a G&G. They are closer to Marui Spec, so replacement parts are cheap. And In my opinion, just better value for money.

I had my KWA M4 CQB (2GX Model) for at least two years, playing at the very least twice a month, with absolutely no problems. So long as you don't get a lemon, KWA's do not need to be TM Specs as they simply do not die. Phenomenal rifles, and with a TBB installed, they outperform nearly every rifle I have encountered. Also, Mav, with all due respect, KWA rifles have a very impressive out of box rate of fire.

They have that ROF simply because they have the flawed bearing setup in their gearboxes and a motor with almost no torque in exchange for speed. Trust me, when you shoot a properly tuned TM spec AEG it will blow away a KWA, especially with that awful two piece barrel group that KWA runs.

What part of it is awful aside from it being proprietary? It functions great and is very precise upon tuning.

Well thats the thing, you cant tune it like you can a proper spec AEG. The gearbox screw threads are coarse instead of fine machine screws, aftermarket air nozzles dont fit, the inside of the gearbox is painted which means tolerances are off and vary greatly based on paint thickness, they use 9mm bearings which isnt a common size, the two piece hop up design allows barrel movement which degrades accuracy, the stock coil wiring is ridiculously thick and low strand count, the stock motor has no torque and is very whiny, the "precision cut" gears dont allow for proper shimming, and they use a metal piston head stock which is terrible for your gearbox and the output sound is louder. Sorry for the run on sentence, but it was easier that way
