It's B.S.. The argument about leap year is a very valid point. So I do not believe in 12/21/12.

The fact that there was similar hype about the computers switching over into 2000, and that didn't happen makes me think it's someone who is looking for attention.

I feel that we're the ones making the end of the Mayan long-calendar out into a doomsday thing. Even if there was an apocolyptic event predected, its not like there has been an accurate prediction by an ancient civilization about the apocolypse so far. Remember, these were people who thought mirrors were portals into another dimention, they were not exactly masters of long-term predictions.

Leap year AND daylight savings time. The proposed doomsday has already come and passed.
Regardless, I expect to see increased gas prices and people stockpiling food. I will probably sit at home with my shotgun and wait for the crazies to start looting.

Well considering the Mayans didn't take leap year(s) into consideration, so if this "calendar" was correct the world would've ended about 7 months ago.

Well done people. I 've read some interesting tid-bts on this subject. Keep in mind tho....those who wait for something to happen, never comes until the waiting is over...just some quote i read somewhere. I like Spaz's idea too.....Me and a buddie of mine said the same thing awhile ago.
