As an answer to the original post, no. The polarstar does not need to be limited.

Now for a legitimate thread post, ROF isn't the big deal as has been discussed already but weapon discipline.... I have notices that a few, NOT ALL P* users feel that they have the right to abuse the rules because they have a fully adjustable gun. Now we all can sit here and complain about P* but guess what we can't change the person and their weapon. Airsoft is just a sport. As with all sports...... People find loopholes, people cheat. We all know that. Now continue B$/@*G about the subject or grow a pair and get over the fact that a-holes will be a-holes.
I've gotten over the fact that players with a polar star are likely to abuse the privalage of such an advanced weapon. It one if those things you have to learn to live with. So can everybody all agree that they don't hate polar stars, but the abuse of the weapon and the over killing that tends to frequently happen by the users of the weapon?

I was up there and someone had a polar star and I got at least 30-40 welt and bleeding pretty good and guy got mad caus I didn't call the hit so he kept shooting I was in so much pain that I couldn't call it I was heading to the staging area to get band aids and we were only 3feet away I know that's the limit but it was in doors and he was just full auto he didn't know what the word hit ment apperntly Raptor you make me laugh.. So first you think they should change the ROF rule and now you just agree with Spaz? LOL Mike has a point about everyone siding with Spaz.. No offense Spaz..

Let me just start by thanking each of you for all being so passionate about airsoft and for most of your comments. I also want to remind everyone that these forums are here for questions, answers, help, info, much much more and good debates. Let me emphasis those two words, GOOD, DEBATES. We are not here to point fingers, start fights and if anything damage the small community of airsoft players that are out there. I say small community because that's really how everyone should think about it. This sport, recreation or what ever it is you would like to call it does not have the luxury of thousands of people wanting to play all the time. And each time someone pisses another person off they potentially turn somebody away from airsoft and lets face it, airsoft is no fun when there's no one to shoot at. So for the majority of people, show your passion on the forums but leave the crap talking in the crapper.
Next, Rabbit...I love the topic and think you did start a great debate. It was not your fault people couldn't keep it to a clean debate. Instead everyone started acting like they were running a political campaign. And I think we are all sick of that. I want to correct some of your facts though. AEG shoot much less then 35 RPS (Rounds Per Second) than what you stated. They typically shoot closer to 18 RPS. Looney wanted me to quote him by saying, "The fastest RPS I've seen on an AEG was by a KWA M4A1 Carbine with a 11.1 Lipo which shot at 23 RPS." That is one of the big reasons for getting a Polar Star. You RPS goes through the roof. You literally make a wall of BB's. So if Looney and Chad did decide to make a RPS rule (Which they did and I will get to that in a second) AEG would not even be close to being ruled out of play.
I would have to say I agree with Spaz in the fact that people do need to learn to control all of their guns better by identifying their target as a threat or not and learn how to hold their fire while still keeping themselves safe from being hit. I can't tell you how many times as a ref wearing bright colors and yelling around a corner I've been hit because somebody didn't identify who I was first. And don't even get me started on team kills. People...open your eyes and take some pride in not pulling the trigger when something moves but planning your shot and getting a kill with one BB. It's actually pretty cool if you ask me. I respect the person who shot me with one perfect head shot rather than that guy who held down a door with 500 rounds going through it every minute. That's just me though.
Hopefully last. Everyone needs to understand that Kalamazoo Airsoft is a business and as a business safety will always be a huge priority. So after a lot of debate from within that business they have decided to put a limit on RPS which will be 24 RPS. Yes players need to learn when to shoot and when not but in the end this RPS limit will help control the players who haven't learned when not to shoot. 24 RPS is still fast as crap and will still make a wall of BB's, so try and understand where KA is coming from as business owners. They want you guys to come back, not to go home looking like a Cheetah and never wanting to play again. If RPS is so important to you, make sure you attend those MilSim events they will be putting on next summer.
And if the whole time you were reading this soap box post of mine, you been asking your self, "Who the hell is this guy?" I'm the guy KA asked to keep trash talk off the forums. All my info on Rules and policies comes straight from discussions with KA.
Keep up the good debates but keep it respectful everyone. Thanks.

Kalamazoo Airsoft is working hard to develop a league/competitive level of play in the near future. This is the place where the upper levels of RPS/FPS might be pushed. KA is currently operating as a REC field. We have kids as young as 10 years old on the field. Advocating for upwards of 30 rounds/second may not be in the best interest of the sport. These first time players will never be back.
