This rule needs to be much more heavily enforced. I see people almost every time I go to play using guns that are too hot for cqb. This rule is there for the safety of everyone. If your gun is shooting over 350 then rent a gun for the day or use a friends. This rule should not be flexible save for maybe 5fps over limit and that should be at the discretion of loony or infidel. But mostly I think this rule needs to be enforced.

Iv'e got mixed feelings on it mainly if it's over by 10 FPS.....they can use semi only......any more you have to get a rental.........however i was PISSED when i got shot in the face a long time ago at the airhouse with some little sprites sniper.......didn't register it and it was way over the fps limit....got the frigin dent in my mesh mask to prove it.........a 350 shot only leaves a small dent....this one is like a divot XD.

I don't know I think they should enforce this much more carefully but they should also have some one there at all the games that knows how to change a spring so if some ones gun is over they give the guy like 5 bucks to switch it and then switch it back when their done.

First off, switching springs twice is going to run you $30. Second, who are you saying should get paid, The tech? Or the new guy that thought he was gonna get in with a 500 FPS sniper?

He just means that if your gun is too hot, that you could pay the tech $5 or so, just to "rent" the spring for the day. Not a permanent spring change.

Haha yeah, it takes me like 5-10 minutes to change a spring, and I couldn't imagine doing 30+ unless I got payed more than $5. Then again, $150 a day isn't too bad. That's 3 new AEGs a weekend ;D.

A better job of making sure the guns on the floor all get cronoed.

Im not sure what Mavs price is for changing a spring, however I know I charge $10 plus the cost of the spring. In some AEG's it is not a fast thing to do, and as a tech, I want to make sure all is well with the AEG after the spring is installed. Remember this though, the more you open the GB the more likely something is going to fail on you. Changve the spring once and keep it that way.

Remember this though, the more you open the GB the more likely something is going to fail on you. This doesn't make sense. The more you open a gearbox, the more you learn about it. You begin to understand what is normal and what is not. This also allows you to spot potential problems while performing normal maintenance. As long as you put it back together correctly, it should always be good to go. Please explain yourself.

Ok guys sorry if I offended any one, I was just saying some thing that I thought would help the bring more people in if they could use their own guns just with a lower FPS spring and I am not a tech so I don't know what you guys should get paid to change a spring

As long as you put it back together correctly, it should always be good to go. Please explain yourself. It just like anything you might take apart mod like and engine. You run a higher risk of something breaking sooner then later. Let me as you this, you open your gb and in opening it the spring shoots out of it and in the process so does a shim that you didn't see pop off/out. Now you put everything back and to you it is working fine, however in losing the one shim you have in fact knocked the alinement off. Now you are possibly putting unneeded wear on the gears and teeth of the piston as well, which in turns mean these parts are going to wear out sooner or strip out one of the two. Now I say this as someone that has been in just about every version of gb. As I have been doing this since 2002. If need be I can explain more if you would like.

Ohh ok I didn't know that doc I thought you could just take it apart and put it back together and it wouldn't do anything to the gb.
