in VIP you have two teams. one team has to protect the VIP and the other team has to kill him and after the VIP is killed or the team thats trying to kill the VIP are killed it's game over and you pick a VIP on the other team and it starts all over again. the team to win four rounds wins.

I play a game like this in the medeival re-enactment game I play. Except its called "kill the King". A good varient would be both teams have VIP's and everyone but the VIP's have unlimited respawn. First team to eliminate the other teams VIP wins. A second varient to that, which is called mop up, would be once one teams VIP is killed then that team no longer has any respawns and the winning team would then have to "mop up" the remaining players. That varient also gives the would be underdogs a chance to win even if thier VIP is no longer there.

It becomes a two-stage game that way and there's still the unlikely chance for the team that loses its VIP first to win. The teams that pull off that kind of win will be talking about it for months.

I've played a variation of this where the VIP is friendly and you have to secure him from your opposing team. For the defending team who is holding the VIP captive, each player gets 3 respawns. For the team trying to secure the VIP, each player gets 2 respawns for a little bit of a challenge.

Wow I was just thinking of the same game mode except for the part about killing the VIP, instead your team would have to hold the VIP for a certain amount of time in one location while defending off the other team. The game would basically be search and destroy but with a VIP and unlimited lives.
