I'm just curious if anyone here has ever thought of making there own small MORPG(Multi-player online role playing game)? A few years back I stumbled across a little website called BYOND. It's a very small gaming community which offers anyone a small but decently powerful game engine along with all the tools you need to make a game for free. With my cousin we had our fun with it for a few years creating a Star Wars fan game and a Dragon Ball fan game as well. Now that I'm older I see a decent potential on making a small project that could possibly grow into a good independent game. If your a fellow gamer it's definitely something worth checking out, especially if you want a go at making your own game for fun and free. Any who I forgot where I was really going with this and I feel like I'm advertising for them which was definitely not my intention. If you feel like this is something you'd enjoy I guess we can discuss further!

Finally! Someone else who's interested in this! A couple years back when I was 10 or so, I downloaded some freeware/spyware (the spyware part I didn't know about until it messed up my computer) and had so much fun with it. It had a lot of characters, "maps", etc. I'd like to get back into game making since it has a lot of potential and can take up lots of time that's normally wasted. So, does this creator just help make MMORPGs or does it help make other types like RTS, FPS, TPS, etc?

It's really open to however you want to make it. I've seen people create platformers, open world games, and even a few games similar to age of empires which is an RTS. Most of the games you find on BYOND are 2d but the engine does also support isometric 2d which basically looks 3d. I've never seen an FPS done with it though. No spyware here, I've downloaded BYOND on many pcs and never once ran into a problem. This is a game called Eternia: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=m7VxfBiJ7lIMade by a group of people to my knowledge, shows you some of engines possibilities.

Alright. I'll take a look at it. No spyware is amazing! My mom was pretty mad at me when the virus from that got on there (obviously).
