Maverick himself told me though that KWA gearboxes don't like alot of parts theres alot of proprietary things when it comes to the gearboxes of the KWA'S. But don't get me wrong there good guns. Buttttttt I don't think platnium wants to give an arm and a leg for a gun.

Not trolling on you doc but you could get a 600 dollar ares gun and have it brake on you instantly there's always a chance of getting a lemon take it from me with my POS ares l86. Also get a very common gun like the GnG m4 lots of parts can go into it plus having a plethera of external parts. My jls fn2000 gearbox exploded so I'm getting it custom fitted to hold a V3 gearbox. But don't let us distract you from buying the gun you want. It's your money do what you want to do. That is true however G&G has had this problem since back in 2001. I know at the time I had owned both a G&G M14 and and SR-25. The GB's and gears in both where horrible. I had to replace everything in them. Im just stating a known problem that is all. You are right in your statement that it is his money and please get the gun you want, and like. I just wanted to give a heads up. |

That's true about KWA. The only problem I have ever had was a blew a fuse twice. Quick fixes!

Iv'e had a few exceptions in the airsoft world however, when I was a noob and first started I thought jg was the best company out there hahahahaha (terribly mistakened). Anyways I Purchased a jg ks p90 and the damn thing has been kicking for almost 3 years. That's scary saying that came from a jg gun.

The problems G&G had were like Doc said, back in the 2001-2005 era. Since then they have stepped up their game big time, and now produce some very quality replicas. The only flaw that I see with them is that they seem to use two different batches of motors. The ones with the dull grey color are terribly weak and suck alot, however they also use a shiny silver motor which is very nice for a stock motor.
I would highly recommend a G&G with or without upgrades. Mine has been ran over by my full size truck and I also use it when I am playing as a tool. It gets banged up, you name it, but it just keeps kicking.
KWA makes very nice gas replicas, but their AEGs leave a lot to be desired. They try to make everything as "precision fit" as possible, but that backfires on them because you cannot shim them properly. They are very picky on which mags they feed with, the barrel group is floating which sucks alot from an accuracy standpoint, and they use a lot of proprietary parts which make upgrades or repairs very difficult.
Unless you have the money to spare, or really want those exquisite externals, I would always go for a cheaper base fun and put the difference you save from an expensive gun into upgrades. That way you have a gun which is tailored more towards you, is more reliable, and performs better than the more expensive rifle. G&G also makes for an incredible value with their G4 series by Airsoft GI because of the custom externals they put on the rifle.

I went Walmart yesterday and a really cool clear plastic gun. I have been practicing my quick scoping skills on my video game. You guys don't stand a chance against my cool gun. I get lots of kills on the video game so I am gonna really light you guys up.
