Hi im a new airsoft player and i think im doing a good job at calling hits i think i accualy called a few that were bouncers, but still i went last weekend had a guy yell at me for not calling a hit when i swear he didnt hit me. i just want any tips on calling hits and dealing with situations like that thanks for any help!

If someone thinks they shot me and they say something to me about it, I never argue the point. I will say ok, call myself out and just come right on back.
It is best to just avoid arguments and keep on playing.

You can only call what you feel. The other players are not supposed to yell at you. They are supposed to call a ref.
You just keep doing what your doing, you'll be fine.

I use to shoot people and they would never call their hits, I almost gave up. Then I bought a higher FPS gun and now it shoots over 100 FPS! I try to call every hit, even if I think it bounced and might have hit me, I call it....

100FPS? I don't think there's an airsoft gun in the world that shoots that slow.

It was like $5 from a local pawnshop, I think it was broken, it might have been a bit more than that but not much.

I have only gone a few times and I would have to say that the one thing I have learned is to not be afraid. I was always scared of being hit but now I have over come that fear and it has made me a better player. I am not saying I would run out into an open field or take on a firing squad but I don't dread looking around corners or running into an ally.
BTW my name is Kyle too, so that instantly makes you awesome.

I was afraid of getting hit until Gunny lit up my pelvic area...twice.

I think some people =( on this when I said it before but to get "use" to being hit I had my friends shoot me with my gun (330 FPS) over and over again. We also play Zombies. One person gets my gun and the rest bring their own. We go in the woods, survivors get guns I get my hands. I can take as many shots as I physically can before I fall down, once I fall they have to stop shooting me. I would go juggernaut mode and take BBs almost point blank over and over again but never gave up. I found it easier to face a BB in game the next time I played.
This is how I got over it, I am not saying it will work for you or anyone else.

Gunny got me over it partly. Just run around a corner with confidence. The slower you do it the faster they will see your barrel and shoot you.

I look first but pop my head out and pull back as fast as I can, then I do it like twice, if no BBs fly past my face I know it's safe to have a look around. |
