So my G&G gr16 r4 sportline has a serious misfeeding problem. I've taped the mags do they don't wobble in the magwell, but te gun still misfeeds like a mother trucker! I've tried a couple different brands of midcaps. If anybody knows how to fix this problem it would really be appreciated!

I have had this problem for a while, and a kind man named Leo fixed it for me today. It worked like a charm.
How to stop the misfeeds. First I want to let you know that it most likely has nothing to do with the mags
Here's the steps.
1) Get some silicon oil
2) look into your magwell(where you insert the mags) and drop 2 drops of silicon oil into the feeding hole
3)Load up a midcap or highcap.
4)Put 3 drops of silicon oil into the mag with the bb's. Wait about 10 seconds so the oil can flow
5)Go outside, and empty the whole mag. The oil on the bb's will make the whole inside chamber and barrel slick
Note: It may misfeed for the first 50 shots or so. But once you get a few BB's down there, and the things gets oiled up your gun will feed like a pro.

I don't know what kind of mags you are running but actually shelling out the extra cash for a good set of metal mags helps alot.

Sham I have MAG brand mids right now but I planned on buying magpuls in the near future. Slappy I'm not a n00b man I know what the magwell is lol I didn't know if it was the mags or my hop up chamber. And this is going to sound like a n00b question though, but when you said empty the mag do you mean empty by shooting or empty out the bbs by pressing the little lever thingy? I thought that getting silicon oil into your hop-up was really bad.

Silicon in the hop-up is bad. I think the solution lies in you buying a 8-pack of the Echo 1 "Dogs of War" mid-caps. I run them in my SCAR and they are great. They should be about $80 on Evike.

Empty it by shooting. I don't know if what I was told and did today is right or wrong according to most standards. What I do now though, is that my gun is shooting like it never has before. I have not had one misfeed since I did this.

Hmm... Sham not sure if I want to dish out $80 on mags when I can spend $42 on magpul mags. Slappy I will try just living the mags not the Hop up and see how that goes. |

I am the one who suggested the oil in the hop-up and mag but, it wasn't silicon oil it was hoppes elite gun oil. I have done it many times with no problems and since it does help i offered it as a simple fix to the problem at hand. Hoppes elite is not a solvent but a lubricant so it should not be harmful to you hop up. if the overall consensus remains that it is bad for you rifle i would recommend an immediate cleaning of the weapon but as i have stated i have had no problems with it.

Chubbs, if the Magpul mags you are referring to are by Beta Project then the only thing you will be getting is a $42 box of Magpul drink coasters.
Source: I owned a box and 4, count em, 4 of those mags failed.

You have three types of P-mags out there.
1. Real Magpul PTS. These are name brand and made by Magpul, they are great but they are expensive (Around $30 a piece)
2. Green label Pmags. They are really light and cheap feeling but according to some guys I know they feed.
3. Beta Project Pmags. I know from experience these things are worthless pieces of crap. Here is why:
-There is no way to open up the BB channel without breaking the end cap.
-Since there is no way to open up the mag, properly oiling it is nearly impossible.
-This leads to the BB follower getting hopelessly stuck in one of the corners of the BB channel, rendering the mag useless.
Dogs of war mid-caps, you will not be disappointed.

With the dogs of war mid caps I can't find them anywhere On evike! I might have seen them on Airsoft gi but I'm not sure I will have to check again.

Your putting real steel gun oil in the hopup chamber and mags. Well plan on that bucking and other plastic parts to start to wear.. As for this issues, there are two approaches on this. 1. What type of battery are you using? 2. I would take a small bit of silicone oil and place that into the mag, without bb's in there to help lube up the spring and such in the mag. As for MAG Brand Mids, I have been using the same set for about 3 yrs and I just bought 10 more and I have never had a problem with them. Just saying... Also I have used the E1 Dog of War M4 Mags and they do work like a charm. Also on the Dog War Mid-caps Send me a PM and I will give you a much better price on them, then anywhere you can find them online. |

unfortunately i have made it a hobby to own and service real steel firearms so my habits (such as what oils i choose to use) precede me. I will not be using or bringing real steel oil on or to airsoft events or products.
On the feeding issue at hand: i have used the same 14 MAG brand 130 round midcaps for about 2 years now provided i lost 2 at futureball the first year, and i also have 5 matrix 60 round metal midcaps but i don't like em' because they are very easy to break and not worth the money i paid for them.
