The ACA is a cool idea in theory. Most of the MiA guys played paintball back in it's woodsball prime. Shortly after the evolution of tournament paintball, manufacturers started building markers specifically for tournaments. Again, cool idea, bad implications. Manufacturers stopped innovating markers unless it was for tournaments. Although a marker or airsoft replica that shoots 400fps at 30bps sounds cool, it destroys any semblance of realism that we milsim players desire. Paintball marker makers are just getting back to their roots in woodsball.
If there was some casual tournament where the stakes aren't high, I know a few MiA players might be up for it. However there are more than enough players at KA to run a tournament.

I'd love a tournament, so long as there is no award for winning, and it's just casual.

And it also isn't a big money event. They play for pride and honor. Not just some big pay check. And there is no way the Airsoft industry would start making there focus that type of play. Another thing. From what I have seen the teams in the ACA don't have huge sponsers bankrolling them. I think people just hear bits about the ACA and jump to conclusions.

I was really hoping for a force on force tournament.. Kind of disappointed. This event is for the individual to see who is truly the best in each of the fields list. I will say that if this goes well we will have an event at the end of the fall that will be a squad v squad event. We hope to see you and many others out there for this event.

Yeah, I also think a force on force competition would be cool. Your right a force on force would be cool, but then you run into the paintball style of play, which is what I dont want and I think there are several others out there that feel that way as well. Since we are not using MILES Gear that is no way to get away from the inherted hit calling issues. As I have stated if this individual event goes well, we will put together some sort of team shooting comp either for the end of fall or for psring 2014. I hope to get a good turn out for this event. Should be a great time for all.

We are planning to do leagues this summer with each player having a class, engineers can activate and diffuse bombs, medics can heal and so forth. Each class will have set respawn times (like ACA)... Limited ammo to promote tactical movements. Multiple game types round robin style or point based. 5 v 5 or 6 v 6 Get your teams together! All for bowling trophies...
