I will continue to pay full price no matter what BECAUSE I am a loyal customer and want to see it grow. Same here. Would you guys have this place close or would you pay full price? That's the real question.

That's the real question. Its not a matter of them closing, its a matter of principle. No need for deals or passes. I appreciate the service provided and I respect the guys doing it, so why should I get a deal?

Its not a matter of them closing, its a matter of principle. No need for deals or passes. I appreciate the service provided and I respect the guys doing it, so why should I get a deal? The original question asked was what your thoughts were on a season pass type deal. Nobody on these forums is disrespecting the Airhouse, nor is anyone complaining about services provided. The question posed wasn't about your loyalty or why you don't think you should get a deal. People are getting slightly defensive on a topic that isn't even an option at the Airhouse. You either think it is a good idea and give reasons as to why, or you think it is silly and reasons as to why. Obviously you don't like the idea and I can respect that. What I don't understand is why you think that a season pass would call out anyone's loyalty to the Airhouse. No one has threatened to stop playing because there wasn't a pass offered and if someone did, then good. Chances are they weren't worth playing with anyways. Many of you don't seem to understand the power of business marketing. The $5 hot and ready not only saved Little Caesars from imminent bankruptcy, but it also made them so much money they were able to expand ten fold. The same idea goes for the McDonald's dollar menu. They obviously weren't hurting for money in the first place but the installation of that menu exploded their sales as well. Look at Starbucks and Biggby coffee with their punch cards. The prospect of a free coffee drove people to spend more in order to get that 1 free drink. The list goes on and on. It has nothing to do with loyalty of the members, or respect for the guys running the show. Spaz, you said yourself that you want to see the Airhouse grow. The growth potential is insane if a season pass thing is marketed right. Now let's say that you are right and it turns out to not be a profitable expenditure. The great thing is that you can scrap the program with minimal loss and consider it not the right marketing group for a pass. You guys are all correct in saying the $15 is an awesome price to play. Once again, nobody was arguing that fact. The thing is, you just can't know what the outcome of a pass is unless you try. But don't think that if a pass is never offered I am going to stop playing or that I don't appreciate what they do there because that is not the case at all. I am new to Airsoft and I am upset that I didn't know about the Airhouse before January. I love the place and the guys running it and as I said before it is an addiction for me now......

People need to think of it this way, it's a season pass, you pay for how ever long they make the pass valid through. You obviously won't be able to play every time they're open so they're already making extra money off of the days that you don't go, they won't lose any money. A season pass would need to be pretty expensive though if it were for the full year.

You seem to think that i was getting defensive, this is not the case. I simply stated that I dont think deals are for me. I dont mind paying full price to further a cause I believe in thats all.

I hear you Spaz. I don't mind paying either. It is a great deal for the amount of fun involved. Although another downside of a season pass would mean that the odds of us playing against each other again would be higher. That just means more of you flanking me..... again, and just straight shooting the crap out of me.... again. Or you being a hostage that escapes.... again.... Hrmmmm. I need to practice more...

So here's some food for thought. There are 3 possible days you can play every weekend. At $15 a day, most people will play once. I buy at least $15 in bbs every time I play. I also go through a can of green gas every two times I go out. I try to go at least once per weekend. So I spend roughly,
Fee:$15 a weekend / $60 a month / $720 a year Ammo: $15 a weekend / $60 a month / $720 a year Green Gas: $15 a month / $180 a year Total: $1'620 a month That doesn't include all the other stuff I buy from them.
Here's what they could make if they charged $50 a month. Dues: $600 a year ($50 a month) Ammo: $30 a weekend / $120 a month / $720 a year. Green Gas (1 can every 2 weekends)-$15 / $30 mo. / $360 a year. Total: $1,680
Also, not everyone on the dues system will make it every single weekend. KA is still making money every single day, whether your there or not.
Now granted, working in retail, you have the cost of the item. Your margin on what you sell is lower than the play fee. However, if buy in bulk, the discount is heavier, but the price stays the same. You numbers per weekend improve, and you grow your brand and player base.
This is just my personal example, it doesn't take into account the guys who don't support the local field by buying ammo and gear from KA. Its worth looking at as an idea though.
