You guys should really look into offering season passes- It'd probably come in handy for the players who come here every single week. Thoughts?

Its a double-edged sword. Season passes mean less profits, and less profits means less improvements to the Airhouse.

So agree. Was thinking the same thing.
RipJack - Depends on how they do it and how big of a loss are we talking about. McDonald didn't introduce the Dollar Menu because they would lose money.
Could do it like a Subway card. After every 10 days attending you get a free day (admission rental and all. Minus BBs and extra mags) for that person alone.

I think that a "monthly fee" would be a good idea. I look at it like this: As it stands, I personally go every other week usually on Saturdays. I have my own gear so I pay the $15 play fee. Every once in a while I need to restock my BB stash so I pay the Airhouse for those.
However, if they offered a "membership" for, lets say $50 a month, I would try go once a week. Already I paid more for the monthly fee than I would if I keep going at the rate I am now. Not only that but since I would be playing more I would require more ammo thus spending more on that. I would also be buying more food and drink stuffs at the snack bar than I do currently thus adding even more to their profits.
Now there would be weeks that I wouldn't be able to play, seeing as to how I do sadly have an outside life. The Airhouse would still get the same payment from me if I was on a monthly membership whether I played or not so it would be a more guarantee of an income if they offered this option.
When I was there this past Saturday Hollis informed the players that they had 1600 waivers and counting. Imagine if the only option at the Airhouse was a $50 monthly membership to play whenever they were open. You would be looking at $80,000 every month. Now I understand that if $50 a month was the only to play there wouldn't be 1600 waivers. But the point is that even, if say, 100 of the 1600 people signed up for a monthly membership that is a guaranteed $5000 monthly.
There could be different ways of going about this as well, such as a yearly contract for $50 a month for an all you can play. For those who don't want to obligate to a yearly contract there could be a $60 monthly play as you go thing, or just pay as you play such as it is now. Of course this is just me throwing out my two cents on the subject but I see it being a profitable course of action.
One last thought on the subject matter. I have already stated that if a monthly membership were ever established that I would play more. I'm pretty sure that I speak for most when I say that they would play more often given the same choice. You would see much larger crowds. Now this could be seen as a bad thing or a good thing. But seeing as to how Hollis has stated that he is looking to expand I really don't see that as a bad thing. Just more people spending more money at the Airhouse every weekend.

Alright, so there are ~52 weekends a year right? Now assuming a player plays once a weekend every weekend, they would spend ~ $780 in admission fees alone. A person committed enough to buy a season pass probably only misses 7~10 games in a year for various reasons. So in order for the airhouse to guarantee a good profit they would need to charge ~ $600 (minimum) per year for a season pass. Or that's how my math works out anyways.

1600 waivers doesn't equal 1600 players playing every weekend. I would say 150-180 a weekend. Definitely changes the numbers. the entry fee is dirt cheap in my opinion for 4-5 hours of play.

15 dollars is cheap compared to lesser fields that allow for less play time. Don't need to change an already great thing.

I think a good medium for this would be a discount card. The old managers had a card called a crew card that you'd pay 25$ for. Then every game was only 10$ with the showing of your card and they were good for a year. I really liked this.

I am not that naive that I think that just because there are that many waivers means that there would be that many people every weekend. I used that number as an example. But the numbers would indeed swell. No one is complaining that anything is broke or that it is too expensive, just discussing how a seasonal sort of thing could be beneficial to all parties involved. I do like that idea of a discount card too.

Lets NOT be cheap here I say that with respect. I don't think alot of people realize just how much it takes to run an airsoft field. Lets face it the sport is growing but its still not that big. I imagine its not easiy to run. 15.00 is a steal remember that be thankful we have a cqc place I see no need for a pass because its us the players who keep it running, along with wonderful management.

I don't believe it's fair to call a proposition of this caliber cheap. I actually do have a pretty good realization of how much it takes to run a business like this. As a matter of fact, I worked for the previous owners doing various jobs. The upkeep was regularly discussed and it definitely is not cheap; however, it is not some fictional colossal lump of cash. I don't know how much the upkeep is monthly, but a discount pass or season pass would be beneficial to the returning members, as well as KA's reputation. This is why thousands of stores offer membership cards, reward cards, and season passes. They offer these to prolong customer loyalty, while in a sense "giving back". I agree that $15 is very cheap for the facility and for the amount of time played; however, I still think it would be nice to have some sort of member/discount card for the loyal customers. Some of us have been playing in this facility for four years now. Obviously, this is just my opinion and I don't know the cost of the lease or if KA can even afford to offer one of these programs, but it would definitely be a nice addition to see in the future. ~Arch

I will continue to pay full price no matter what BECAUSE I am a loyal customer and want to see it grow.
