Thought it would be a sweet idea to have a weekend long Airsoft/BBQ event.
Ideas for the BBQ...
Day and Night Airsofting. Friday/Saturday Grilled Potluck (bring a dish) or bring your own food. (doesn't have to be grilled) Sunday Pig Roast. Bomb Fire each night Swap meet during the day. Bring tents to camp out in. Bring grills to cook. If you make amazing food feel free sell a plate of it like at a festival. Cook-off (Chili, BBQ, or whatever is predetermined) for prize (ammo, guns, accessories etc) Live band(s) 1v1, 3v3, clan vs clan tournaments. Pistol Duals. Sharpshooting competitions.
The idea is to treat each other like family and all have a good time we would eat some good food, meet some good people, and make a few friends and then shot them. Just a thought

I agree this is a great idea, the MiA community is doing something like this. Give-aways are iffy unless KA wants to sponsor them, or can find sponsors for them. As for the bomb fire I don't think excess use of explosives are necessary. Just remember, all the money for the cool fun stuff comes out of someone's pocket. MiA is charging admission to theirs.

This is a great idea. But where would they possibly hold it I'm pretty sure no one wants to camp in a tent in the parking lot. As for the 1V1 or 3V3 or team battles there should be a prize for each team or individual that wins

Grey idea, but a location will be hard to find.

I honestly believe that there shouldn't be any rifts in the MI airsoft community. Since the idea of a cookout day is going over so well, I'm going to leave this here and suggest that everyone goes and has a good time. MiA Spring Rec event

I like the idea, but for AEG users (in general), how would they keep their batteries alive for a whole weekend? Just kind of a thought.

A charged 8.4v or 9.6v 1600mah Battery is enough to last a weekend, especially if you don't just empty your mag at every target.

Alright, I was just wondering. To Raptor's response, I wouldn't have to worry about getting hurt by a BB. (Inside joke; well kind of).

... But where would they possibly hold it I'm pretty sure no one wants to camp in a tent in the parking lot. 2 options. Inside the warehouse and outside on the field in the grassy areas. bring some foam roll outs for laying your bag on. They make them for camping option 2 is in the parking lot. Yes it looks uncomfortable but again you can put 2 foam pads down and not even notice the bumps. Lastly if anyone knows anyone who does landscaping and owns there own equipment they could come the day before the event and level out the road to make it more smooth. or someone could rent one from a couple hours and do it.

Also about the sponsors needed for prizes or needing sponsors for anything.
Prizes: Can all be donated by players. Ive seen peoples weapon collection. Id find it hard to believe no one has extra clothing (pads, helmets etc) extra mags, guns, Optics, Weapon attachments etc. If you have something you never use or don't mind helping out then please do so. (you can give these individuals a discount on admission or whatever seems fit
ADMISSION: Id say for a single day visit $30 seems fair (just a suggestion). If your staying the weekend then $50 (Just a suggestion.) DOES NOT INCLUDE RENTALS. If you donate something awesome like a nice gun, offer 50% off admission. If you donate something small like a patch, empty mag, or something in that size/price range, then 25% off admission.
Price out the admission so that pays for the pig roast and most if not all the electricity (no idea what that cost a day)
