Hello, I`m not sure if this has already been mentioned yet. If it has I apologize in advance. If not then here is the concept
Split the Teams in half. Split the field in half down the middle (predetermined) No respawn. Assign Capt for each side.
DEFENDERS: The team that defends ``defends`` there half of the field. The capt of the defending team take x amount of time (predetermined before it begins) to place squads or individuals strategically in areas of interest to prevent attackers from taking over the defenders side of the field. You may have them patrol and area or be stationary or whatever the capt sees fit as a strategy. No respawns. You win if you eliminate all the attackers.
ATTACKERS: Capt assigns squads and individuals a strategy to overtake the defending side and eliminate all the defenders. No respawns. You win when you eliminate all the defenders.
Switch sides after each round.

Would work better with a bigger field.

Im not saying that the gametype itselft needs to be on a bigger field, but the no respawns would mean that it would go by in a matter of minutes.

That's the point we play to see which defending team can last the longest.

They play a version of that game already; it’s even called attack and defend. The defending team each have one life, the other unlimited. The defending team has a chance to prepare before the game starts. The game is timed to see how fast the attacking team can kill off the other. After the first round teams trade sides and play again, whichever team has the fastest time wins the game. The way it is played I have not seen a round last more than 6 minutes and have seen some get close to a minute. If everyone only had 1 life, I would guess it would be quick or people would camp and the game would last forever.

you restrict the time to 5 minutes if you want fast pace and 10 if you want an actual tactical game. I see more games going close to the distance of time just for the no respawn fact. no one is going to want to rush and be out after 30 seconds and wait for 9 minutes.

16 min is the longest I've seen and it was inside, gunny knows what I'm talking about.

The current version of attack/defend is fine.
