Because serpa does not make a G-18c holster and reports on forums claim that the serpa holster that was meant for the G-17 with modification of course could house the G-18c. My assumption? the G-18c has a slightly fatter frame then it's cousin the G-17 resulting in the from not going into the holster. By simply cutting a hole into the serpa gives the slide assembly and grip just enough room to slide in and lock. From what I know of the real steel the G18c and G17 are the same size. However the airsoft replicas differ in size, and some fit serpa holsters and some do not. My KSC 18’s and 17 fit in both my serpa 2 and serpa 3. Although the 18’s selector switch hits on the serpa 3 and I had to take a little off my tactical light for the 17 to fit. My we 17, however is much wider than the KSC’s and will not go in the holster without major modification. |

Yeah when I first got it jjjuuuuustttttt barely fit :I that's why there's a huge hole in it now XD. However it's still pretty snug and you need a nice swift pull to get it out of the serpa.
