I noticed that the garage doors and or loading bays were real big hot zones for people from the same team to cluster up due to the long balling shooters. Seemed as if they did not want to get hit or something running out, why IDK?
I loved the bus stops bay door setup by the way, it was awesome to sit behind the sand bags and steel barrels hearing the BB's ping off the metal and echo. EPIC!
So I was thinking about the garage a bit and maybe putting a doorway there to help with the cluster. The doorway would lead from the inner house to just the garage.Bringing more people inside and in the middle playing, rather than trying to flank and stay outside. It could have its own ramp across leading to the catwalk inside the garage or just a simple set of stairs leading in. Whatever is easier of cheapest IMO. Whatcho think?
Edit: I don't know if this would be part of the Think Tank section or not...

Thanks callmesiz, The door leading into the garage and onto the catwalk is at the top of our to do list. That will happen for sure.

I also noticed that another access point into the Garage from the Kitchen side would help game flow as well.

This is good new Infidel thanks for lookin!
Squatch you think so. I know it would help with flow coming into the garage and moving to the right but. IDK lets see how the new door does and than if its a choke point on just the one side than yes another door on the right would work! Thumbs up for the added idea.

Found a beautiful spot that according to your rules was completely legal, but problematic when the team was forced back to their spawn. When Red first began on Saturday, twice we forced yellow completely indoors and into their spawn. Standing outside with just barely looking over the sandbags, i had a straight shot that kept all of yellow from being able to escape spawn location from the bay door side. My suggestion is to somewhere along that side wall place a half wall. That way spawners have some cover to move out and possibly get a closer shot/better angle. Placing on the side closest to the door, couple of your wooden jacks barricades or an angled wall so to expose any opposing team from trying to closer spawn trap. Red never got pushed to headquarters spawn, so i can't say if its needed there as well. Being "outside" allowed me to use full auto if i wished(i wasn't that mean) and a straight shot to spawn. that's problematic.

Another issue i notice was lack of discipline. Many times i saw refs rolling in groups, making them unavailable to help (indoors). Needed help on several things. 1 individuals not calling themselves out. I believe backpacks should be banned from carried around inside. Several times my friends and i lit up the kid with his pack on, and he wouldn't call himself hit. Either he didn't feel it or he's not a very honest soul. Either way, pellets hitting him would solve that issue. Some other problematic individuals brought to my attention the lack of Penalty towards the individual disobeying the rules. If a ref has to call you out because you're not being honest, first time should be a warning. Second removal from current round. third removed from round and next round. Fourth time is asked to leave for the day. The accumulation would be day to day based. That being said. Full auto indoors should hold the same penalty. If your weapon "malfunctions and becomes full auto" you as an adult should remove yourself from the round and fix your self. There is a slight understanding that with younger kids, they are more prone to take rules more as suggestions, but as an adult to blatantly disobey says a lot about your character, honor, and self dignity. This same individual I'm disappointed with was problematic in calling himself out when more then one person has hit him over and over, told him he's out, and he just looks at you, then moves on without saying a word, not counting himself out. That is ok with me though. I shut him down indoors, pounded him with shots until he would say HIT, then he'd be upset i shot him so many times, to which i reply, then say HIT and i'd stop. The 4 shots to his skull were very satisfying. Didn't see him inside the bay area again after that. Lil to much Hooahh oh his Hoorah for him to handle i suppose.
but to hit home again on my suggestion. Some sort of penalty system would help to deter dishonest individuals. (may need to start writing a number on the arm bands to keep track of which player to punish)

The KA guys are always changing the field, this sometimes leads to weird fire lanes opening up. C'est la vie.
As far as hit calling is concerned; it has always been an issue and will always be an issue and I don't believe it will ever be fixed 100% As far as hitting people and them not calling themselves out, if I personally hit someone in their plate carrier or backpack, I give them the benefit of the doubt. I was not there on Saturday but I run a hydro carrier on my plate carrier since I drink a lot and sometimes get really thirsty during matches and don't want to excuse myself and give the other team a temporary advantage. Everyone has their personal reasons for building their kit they way they want and I personally am against regulation of what gear a person can wear and use beyond eye protection and a gun that shoots >351 fps.
Point being; people have their preferences with their gear, sometimes this leads to people having spots on their person that are 'hard spots' so if you shoot someone in their backpack/dump pouch/mag pouch and they don't call it; assume they didn't feel it and shoot them in their leg or face. I have seen very honest players who have been shot in certain places in their gear who genuinely didn't feel it. I have even experienced this first hand myself.
I personally don't think a penalty system is necessary since in my year+ of playing Airsoft in Kalamazoo and surrounding areas I have learned that people who exhibit dishonorable behavior are usually made a pariah and viewed with disdain, which leads to them either correcting themselves or leaving the community.

I agree with Sham on this one. Banning Hydration carriers from the Airhouse would not make any sense. I as well build my loadout to fit the MilSim/Outdoor play area. However I might make slight changes getting rid of my hydration pack will not happen.
I have been hit in the back in the "hard spot" of my gear and if someone has hit me and I did not hear it or feel it, I will give them the benefit of the doute on this and just call myself out. However I tend to aim for the legs in the upper thigh area as that seams to give a bit of a sting to the player, letting them know they have been hit. Hell I have even shot SPAZ in the ass as he turned and ran in the other direction.
As for shutting someone in the head/face, 1. I dont take pride in those shots, as I know first hand the pain and danger from giving and taking shots to the face/head. 2. I use them as a complete last resort as I dont see the point in hurting someone over this hobby/sport I enjoy.
Hit calling by some is just unreal, others are straight up good honorable players and call them self out. With this being said you are always going to run into a few issues. However with that being said enacting a penalty system into the game is not what is needed. KA has a bunch of rules in place at this time as it is and I dont think they need to add in another system they have to track.
As for the Game Officals I admit that I have not been there in a while but from what I remember Hollis and Chad are pretty good at doing that job, however they could have been handling another problem somewhere else on the field. Im sure the issue you faced will be taken care of as well.
One thing that I might suggest in this, is after a match is over just go up and talk to the person. Letting them know that you did in fact hit them with a shot, and see if they felt it or even heard it. Stay respectful and keep the honor as well, and cooler heads will prevail.

The head shot i was proud of because it was a tough shot through a set of stairs, and into a small opening. Only his head and rifle were exposed. Therefore, it was the only spot present, and at the range given conditions, i'd just like to say, those rental guns are spot on. Good maintenance.

I think the big problem with people not calling their hits, is when people try to retaliate and take matters into their own hands. A lot of the problems could be solved if you told a ref about that person. Also, I would like to see some refs talk to people more often after rounds.Even if is just a simple, Hey you've been getting shot in the back so be aware.

I was not aware of the difficulty of the shot you had to take, I just went off of what you wrote in the above. With that being said. Nice Shot!!

LOL Tono you head shot maniac!
Changes in the house of air IMO on this thread should only be physical building changes. They change the course every week as said above and really the only thing I noticed was the choke points. After watching some of Spaz's vids I got a feel for the course and some tactics then we drove out there and it was totally different and challenging indeed. Just being able to place certain objects in different locales are a plus. But you know what I would like to see ehem "hear" more of is that plastic pinging off metal objects, I just couldn't get enough of it at the lockers and metal waste barrels! Awesome! We will be seeing the changes in the next month...
